No More
James Watson *
i will no more compose lines melancholic
no more sad songs will i sing
no, i will no more think of the past
the sad memories of those awful days
the woeful remembrance of my long love's end
the painful reminiscence of a heart-break
no, no more will i think of them.
the broken dreams of a young mind
the unfulfilled wish of a desirous heart
the unquenchable thirst of the soul
no, no more will i build castle in the air
the vicissitude of an inauspicious man
the fall from grace of man at Eden
no, no more shall i bring them back to mind again.
have i never known joy to talk of joy
have i never seen happiness to sing of happiness
no, no more will i talk of sorrow.
of what should i think then?
what should i talk about then?
whose tale should i then tell?
no, no more of sorrrow will i speak.
let me then not say a thing
let me then not say a word
'cause of sorrow, no more will i speak
no more of pain would i say a thing
no, no more of sadness would i say a word
for too long have i lived amidst them
no more of sorrow will i speak again.
