Land of Dimming Jewels
Ningthoujam Ajit Singh *
A shattering heart and discontent mind sings...
"....Manipur-the land of old jewels,
Showered with laurels and endowments.
The unending love and bounty cares,
The land of endless and no less....."
"....Cannibals and cobras inhibiting the blooming dale,
Iron corroding sharpest edge of justice songs.
Virginity erodes in the river of blurring mind.
Fences dampening softest buds....."
"....Lending hand for grabbing soul,
Fortune saving spirit of living.
Long live democratic-socialistic-republic,
Hailing you protector for last resort pretention...."
"....Lingering you the nation clear the air,
Stalling me for lucre duties of descendants.
Keeping us in joyance of materials imposed,
No shepherd for the art of pre-empt...."
Tear does not wash and drain the dirt....!!
