Lai Khutsaangbi (Part one)
(Sachi-ma Sachi-ma, Sachi Mapaa leibro??)
Ningombam Biswamitra *
It is not a myth,
she lives in the dark,
Even in the shadow of your home.
She waits and lurks
creeping towards you
when the scent of your fractured heart
hits her slit-nose
Through the crack of the wall
she would see the wreck of your home
With gory eyes and cackles with ecstasy.
Waiting and skulking in the dark
for the right moment to come
And when the rift is wide enough
she would extend her scaly arms
slithering like a snake
and deliver the fatal strike
pulling you towards the crack
The void you have created for yourself.
for it is her lair
and it is not a myth
she lives in the dark
Even in the shadow of your home!!
