TODAY -
Hinges and his beloved
Nongmaithem Priyadarshini *
A heavy trudge... and a left behind trail,
Dusty and rustic,
Along the sandy shore
Of the vast desert of times.
Darker and deeper night of hyenas
Of flesh and blood.
In a smoky city...in an unlighted room,
The hinges tell a story of woes and foes,
Shedding red blood solitary tears.
The big fat manlike comes and goes,
For him cigar to burn to ash.
Stray dogs bark at the passers-by.
The beloved writes a letter
Of unknown passions,
Detailing her wants,
For she not known her lover lies cold,
Along the sandy shore
Of the vast desert of times.
