Heartbreaks
Malemnganbi Naorem *
I do not know about you: everyone has a story
But every poem of mine conceals a heartbreak
Heartbreaks that have made me what i am today, a psychotic nerd
Raised by hand as Pip was beaten, abused, tortured since childhood
till this very moment, called a "shameless animal that is unclothed" and many more.
Every heartbreak makes me contemplate suicide,
To be consumed in the holy fire, my soul to be sucked up in the clouds
But, I lack courage. COURAGE, COURAGE, I need you
Why do not I have courage to act it out?
May be God wants me , to be tortured, abused for my sins in my past life.
Loved him as he is of my own blood
He spat the love I gave on my own face
Turned the bit of humour I have into immorality.
Awestruck I was , did not have a single word to utter
Anger melted into tears streaming down my cheeks profusely.
I still remember the days my father beat me up,
Encouraging the loved one to do the same: he acted out the instructions very well.
Reasons, I have forgotten as I am used to them.
The scars always do fade away, love I have for them does not
Even though I swear a lot when they beat me up, LOVE always triznrghs.
