Gone but not forgotten
Ruby Tongbram *
I remember those good old days
When upon the tufts of grass we lay
Fixed our gaze upon the sky
And dreamily wished this time delay
We swim across the blue, blue sky.
I remember those good old days
Whom along the park we walked
Through the ground carpeted with falling autumn leaves
Farewell bade the ave sun;
Hands in unison clasped
The chirping birds among the hiding leaves.
And much my heart it grieves to know,
That thou have ended where thou began,
I distaste this reality!
Contempt fills the corners of my hollowed heart,
But my dear!
Oh my dearest!
You are gone but not forgotten!
