LOK SABHA election is now knocking at the door; if there is no emergency it will be held in the month of April and May; and a new Lok Sabha should be constituted on or before 16 May (if I remember the date correctly). That means the counting and declaration of the result by the Election Commission should also be on or before 16 MAY 2019.

Most of the political pundits all over the country predict that it is going to be a Hung Parliament or Lok Sabha, where no party or alliance will get absolute majority i.e., 272 out of 543. But the chances of NDA forming the government is much higher because they are likely to get more number of seats than any other alliance or party. In addition, they have all the ‘M’s; I mean Mantras, Magic and Masalas ; don’t think otherwise.

UP with 80 seats, the most important State in terms of number is going in favor to the ruling BJP because a charismatic lady is likely to minus the SP/BSP votes. The UP result holds a key factor in deciding the formation of next Federal Government.

In the entire NE region including Sikkim we have only 25 Lok Sabha seats; Assam has 14 seats, other NE States have 1 or 2 seats each. The political significance of the entire NE region at the national level is not huge. But in case of a hung parliament the importance of small numbers are humongous.

Numbers become very crucial in a Hung Lok Sabha; even if we have only 2 MPs, they can play a very significant role in the rise and fall of the Government. This time if we have a hung parliament, I mean hung Lok Sabha even a single MP will feel important and also command full honor and respect.

In such a hung scenario our NE MPs will be respected like anything. I mean it, and you know it. The following graffiti is a manifesto construed and conspired by me for the consumption of political parties and contesting candidates. If they like it, they can take it for free; if they don’t like they throw it away in the dustbin or simply spit and spurn on it.

GRAFFITI MANIFESTO:

o Bandh / blockade/ allowance must be given to every citizen who has a bank account linked with Aadhaar and PAN through direct transfer. (Rupees 100 per day)
o Territorial integrity of the State must be safeguarded even before and after the Naga settlement.
o Unity and fraternity among the people ought to be maintained through unlimited matrimonial alliances between and among the members of our ethnic groups.
o Our cultural identity must be preserved through our ethnic beads & attires, beliefs & rituals, drums & dances, eating & drinking habits.
o Bribery up to 5 lakhs may be legalized, because up to five lakhs it is now income tax free. But the issue is up to – how many five lakhs?
o Gun and bomb culture must be done away with; the path of nonviolence must be encouraged and properly funded.

o Prohibition must be lifted and start doing brisk business in liquor particularly with our native brews.
o Finding legal ways for (ganja)cannabis and poppy plantation for medic and commercial exploitation.
o Expanding and encouraging Medical tourism by inviting people from Myanmar and far east.
o Kuki-land, Nagalim, Meitei-land etc. must be discussed in open for better understanding and bargain.
Supporting entrepreneurs and NGOs to bring more investment and funding from outside by hook or by crook.

o One brew shop in every battalion or big station may be allowed for medical purposes. Permission in one or two battalions may not fulfil the aspiration of the drinking masses.v o Valley people must go to the hills and hill people must come down to the valley; making it mandatory.
o Kabow valley may be retrieved from the Burmese in exchange of anything they want.
o Nagas, Kukis , Meiteis may be treated as socially equal despite religious differences because they belong to the same race with identical cultural traits.

You may call me an anarchist for propagating such topsy-turvic ideas. But this is up to you and your party to accept these ideas or not. If you like the ideas you may incorporate them in your election manifesto.

“Democracy is about fooling the masses in the name of equality”, someone said it and I like it. So, I appeal the laity to extract as much as you can from the contenders and the Parties.
