Creativity is must for Career Development

One of the core and important life skills is creativity or creative thinking. Through creative thinking we realize change, learn how to create the change that benefits us personally and professionally for self and for others.
Creativity and innovation helps us in problem-solving. Though there may be no universal understanding of creativity, the concept is open to interpretation from artistic expression to problem-solving in the context of economic, social and sustainable development. Therefore, the United Nations designated 21st April as World Creativity and Innovation Day.
Creativity is a phenomenon whereby something new and valuable is formed. The created item may be intangible (such as an idea, a scientific theory, a musical composition, or a joke) or a physical object (such as an invention, a printed literary work, or a painting).
When it comes to career or employment then creativity helps individuals to do well in your job, build a successful career, help in building dynamic personality, maintain healthy relationships, develop more confidence.
There are many ways through which we may enhance creativity. We have to keep ourselves open to new learning and new experiences, we have to read more books, research, think as thinking helps in generating ideas, we must be positive as positive attitude enhances creativity.
The creative economy too has no single definition. It is an evolving concept which builds on the interplay between human creativity and ideas and intellectual property, knowledge and technology. Essentially it is the knowledge-based economic activities upon which the ‘creative industries’ are based.
The creative economy –which includes audiovisual products, design, new and media, performing arts, publishing and visual arts–, is a highly transformative sector of the world economy in terms of income generation, job creation etc.
Creativity and culture have a significant non-monetary value that contributes to inclusive social development, to dialogue and understanding between peoples. Today, the creative industries are among the most dynamic sectors in the world economy.
The importance of creativity has been realized by all for which 21st April has been declared as creativity and innovation day. Apart from getting a job, creativity and innovations are integral requirements for all those who want to be entrepreneurs.
One may start focusing on it from school days so that they are more confident during college days. Job aspirants must remember that only mere academic qualification may not give them a job but with skills like creativity one is always ahead of their peers.
Once we think differently means we are making our career more sustainable. Innovation, creativity and mass entrepreneurship can provide new momentum for economic growth and job creation.
Let us try and focus ourselves and develop creative thinking as well critical thinking for our own career development.
