Clue to a mystery
Professor Indramohan Jha *
What a peculiar thing is this?
The mystery of the mysterious world.
The magic thread, the cord of Universe; binds, draws
slowly towards the wave of life,
Who so-ever and what so-ever, mighty may be,
The mortal lives are woven of it.
Designed, coloured and pressed of it.
Easy to enter, yet easier to be drowned.
Difficult to dive, but seldom to out.
The Vast ocean freezes, with, a single drop of this creative water.
The multifarious creatures breathe,
sustain, evolve and pervade,
when mingled with the immortal power.
The ferocious lion, forgets his claws.
Turns fellow of a cow, so humble.
A mountainous elephant fears, but a boy counts the
teeth, rides, enjoys and swims in the stream of parental love.
The thirsty sword is wrapped, when fixed with it closed forever,
The king of kings with his crown, falls on the feet of down.
When its seeds fall from above with an indulgence,
The air is idle with scent and fragrance.
Bees fly passionately, buds open their mouths with an
urge, Honey drips from beehives, owing dullness to
preserve. The cloud throws lightening and thunder,
Follows with torrents of rain.
Peacock dances till he finds a way -to take rest and restore his peace again.
It springs from Him and grows as much as we desire. Wander, cling to pleasure and treat.
It falls to its root, shrinks and extinguishes like bubbles.
It falls on His feet, before thy eyes lay the fleet.
Turn thy tendency or search thou, thy soul.
Thou fell from the delighted Home,
To reach Him is thy goal.
