A Souvenir To Treasure
Donald Lairenbam *
Was it just a dream or a destiny;
A short play or a closed chapter of life;
Or was it a trial to measure my forte?
You appeared out of nowhere, I gawped then;
Many did showed up, and luck favoured me;
To find the right place, a place in your heart.
We tried, we fought, we vowed, but fate forbid;
Left me asking myself, with no answer;
Unfair though, a souvenir to treasure.
