A Silent Spectator
Chongtham Ongbi Subadani Devi *
Innumerable horses and elephants
Abounds a realm
A place guarded by knights
An echoing beat of chorus
A place of music
A tale of music
A tale untold now
An appearance of frustration
Deserted and forlorn
My eyes are the witness.
An ancient citadel
Glorious the regime
Emperors in succession
The turrets of His Majesty
How long you are
To wilt and the stigma.
Gradually and gradually
The wear and the tear
Burried all memories
Swept by the billows.
To infinity far horizon
All in ruins
The royal palace
Every eyewitness
Will touch the heart
A glance at you
With an eye so helpless
But with all the affection.
