Why do we consider America to be the most intellectual, developed and powerful country in the world? Why are TATA and SAHARA developing and prospering day by day? Even in Manipur, why do most of the people prefer and trust Shija Clinic and Imphal Hospital?
America is now considered to be the most powerful and developed country of this era. If we examine it carefully then we will know that almost all the main source of her economy -i.e. her industries and companies- are private.
TATA, SAHARA, etc. which are the most successful companies and which is the main source of country's (India) economy are also private companies and industries. So, considering all these facts it seems that the key factor for the development of a country lies in her private companies and industries only. Therefore, it seems that privatization is the most successful weapon that is used by most of the leading countries in the war of development.
Although, Manipur does not have any large scale industries and companies the situation is same. Almost all the successful institutions and hospitals are private.
While talking about hospitals in Manipur, most probably Shija Clinic and Imphal hospital come in the mind of people first. RMC and JN come in the list of government hospital that is some what better comparing with other hospital of its kind (government hospital). By this I don't mean that RMC and JN are not good and I'm not trying to form any negative image to the people of Manipur about these government hospitals. But, I'm conveying that the cases of accident in private hospital are less comparing with that of government hospital. And in the field of medical equipments, private hospitals are far more developed and they have almost all the latest scientific medical equipments.
And in education too, the private institutions are far ahead than that of government. There is a saying that the quality of an institution is determined from its products. If it is true, then, the private institutions are very far ahead than the government institutions. Because, more than 80% of the pass-out students in HSLC and CHSL exams belong to private schools.
There may be many other reasons for the success of the private institutions, industries, hospitals, etc. But what we have to do is to find out what is their in private institution, industries, companies and hospitals that is not in government. By seeing all these situations -situations mean the domination of private institutions and companies in whole world- it seems that there is something in private that is not in government.
If it happens only in Manipur or India or in certain part of the world then we may say it is because of some particular factors of the place that is suitable to its private industries and institutions. But it happens in whole world. So, it is not because of any particular factors of any place.
Considering all these situations, it is more likely that it will be more successful for a country or state to privatize all her industries and companies, institutions and hospitals. And government remains as an agent to look after the, rules and regulations, security forces and safe-guarding of citizens, repairing and constructing historical monuments and public places etc.
If there will be more development in privatization then we much accept privatization. I don't say there is only bright side in privatizing our all institutes and industries, as every thing has both dark and bright side it may also has its dark side. Nevertheless, if its' bright side is more than its dark side than what is the lose in adapting it. So, we much try to change our life style even if it takes some time.
