Sir,
The present ongoing eco-blockade imposed by the SHDDC and counter blockade by the UNC on the NHs should not be taken lightly as compared to the previous strikes and blockades demanding for the up-gradation of Sadar Hills to a full-fledged district.
Different corners comments had been poured in from the Naga civil bodies opposing that not an inch of the Naga inhabited land(s) be bifurcated for the up-gradation of Sadar Hills to a district-hood, thanks to my beloved brothers and sisters Nagas.
The main reason why the Naga frontal civil organization(s) opposed the demand is simply because they (nagas) have no positive aspect to the above mentioned subject, or should we assume that 'unity in diversity' is not the main notions of the Nagas???
Here a big HOW??/WHY??, ought to arise in respect of the Nagas claiming that the land which they inhabited is their ancestral land but not for other's ancestrals.
HOW can they claimed that the area(s) they inhabited belongs to them only??
Then WHY doesn't the Nepalese, Muslims and others claim the land(s) they inhabited belongs only to them??
And WHY not the Kukis??
'Demanding Sadar Hills Districthood is a legitimate demand and the SPF government should look into the matter seriously before the hot water bottle burst out, but blocking the two National Highways, which is the only lifelines of the people needs to be lifted because these blockade will not bear any solution for the Sadar Hillians', was the most popular word commented in every meeting, discussions, state papers and truly by distinguish intellectuals.
Particularly from the valley based civil organizations. What is/are the reason(s) behind that caused hardships not only to the valley people but even to the hillians???
What is the root causes of the ongoing long blockades on the two lifelines of the state people???
Why don't we give any comment of the root causes of these prolong blockades???
Don't we realize this unfortunate situation prevails in this state mainly due to non fulfilling of the genuine demand???
Is Sadar Hills meant only for the Kukis?? Damned concepts.
Why do numerous politicians, intellectuals, social, students leaders focused our mindsets to the Kukis only and not to other communities settling within Sadar Hills??
The Manipur(Hill Areas) Autonomous District Council Act, 1971 (Parliament Act No. 76 of 1971, 26 December 1971, and six Autonomous Districts in the hill areas of Manipur vide government of Manipur notification dated 14th Feb. 1971 gave no provision to the state of Manipur for re-amendment of the same Act, and no Boundary Re-organization Act was passed by the Indian Parliament.
Did the past subsequent Manipur state governments formed/apply this Committee on Re-organization of Administrative and Police District Boundary the time when Imphal district was divided to Imphal East and Imphal west and other districts??
The genuine demands for the up-gradation of Sadar Hills to full-fledged district needs no boundary re-organization and internal arrangements. The area populace consists of Nagas, Kukis, Meiteis, Nepalese etc with dictinct cultures, traditions, religions. And no ethnic violent(s) pops up in the district so far.
Manipuri still remained as the regional common language.
Declaring Sadar Hills to full-fledged district seems to be the best solution for the upliftment of the ongoing blockades, the Hon'ble CM O. Ibobi Singh shall be the pride of the Manipuris, even be known as the HERO of the nation when he fullfils the demands.
Thanking you.
Your's Faithfully
