BLUE and GREEN team held a press conference on 30th Aug 2010, regarding its month long “Anti-Plastic Campaign” started from 10th Aug 2010. During the media interaction, Devson Yengkhom, Director of iFD highlighted the upcoming event details.
Competitions on painting, mime, dance, drama, song and design under the theme “Plastic Pollution” would be screened on 5th Sept 2010 at Iboyaima Shumang Leela Sanglen, and the selected programme will be performing on 16th Sept 2010 (International Ozone Day).
The events are organised with an aim to create awareness among the children and youths on the impacts of plastic pollution, with an alternative solution like reuse, recycling, minimisation and waste management ideas. It may be noted that volunteers of the group has been visiting every schools and colleges in and around Imphal to give awareness.
It was then followed by launching of website www.blueandgreen.cjb.net and its theme songs.
Further, B&G team seeks help of all people from all walks of life to join hands and make this campaign successful.
