We are sending here a summary report of the National Convention on the Legal and Political Implications of the Abduction of Mr. Sanayaima alias R.K. Meghen held at Imphal on 4 November 2010.
The indigenous and human rights defender’s organisations of Manipur would like to seek your solidarity and active support to find the whereabouts of the leader of the self-determination movement of the people of Manipur. We believe that he is currently held in secret detention by the Government of India in collusion with the Government of Bangladesh. We are gravely concerned about his life, physical and mental integrity during this prolonged secret detention.
We urge you to kindly explore every possibility of helping Sanayaima, his family and the people of Manipur to ensure that their fundamental human rights are restored.
