In today's matches of the 6th Th Birachandra Singh Football Academy State Level Junior Football Championship, 2009 organised by the Bira-chandra Memorial Sporting Club at Taobung-khok Makha Leikai ground, MPSA, Pungdongbam defeated NESU, Porompat while HYPC, Hayel, Uchiwa and WSU, Taobungkhok played a drawn match.
The first match today was played between MPSA, Pungdongbam and NESU, Porompat.
The match was won by MPSA after defeating its opponent NESU 1-0 in a tough match.
The match was an interesting match between the two teams.
Both teams'players played the match with almost equal skills and tactics.
As they played the match with full coordination among the players it was hard for both of the teams to dominate over one another.
As the match progress spectators witnessed a raging match between the two teams.
It can be called a bit of luck when M Aboy of MPSA striked one goal agianst NESU in the 34th minute of the match.
NESU players were taken aback by the sudden goal of Aboy.
But they did not lose their heart and tried hard to equalise the score position.
The first half concluded without any further goal by both teams.
NESU players did not give up their efforts and continued many goal attempts in the second half too.
But it was not an easy task for them to score goals agianst one another in the situation.
Luck was not on the side of NESU as the match concluded without any further goal by both teams and MPSA winning the match by one goal.
Ngachango of MPSA and Rajesh of NESU were issued a yelow card for their unsporting behaviour during the match.
The second match which was played between HYPC, Hayel, Uchiwa and WSU, Taobungkhok concluded as a drawn match without any goal by both teams.
Both teams'players played the match with equal skills and tactics.
As a restult the raging match between the two teams concluded without any goal by both teams.
G Naise, O Chaoba , W Inao of HYPC and Sushil, Somorjit of WSU were issued a yellow card by the centre referee for their unsporting conduct during the match.
