Red Shield Eagles Golf Tournament held

Imphal, October 09 2011:
The Red Shield Eagles Golf Tournament was held today at Leimakhong military station to commemorate the 68 glorious years of the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers.
The function was hosted by Colonel Rajeev Dalela, Commanding Officer and all officers of 657 EME Battalion.
Mrs Annie Poonen was the chief guest for
the occasion.
In all, 38 golfers including 12 ladies and 12 children participated in the event.
Colonel George Jacob with a gross score of 38 was adjusted the best golfer.
Lt Col Alok Gupta won the prize for best net score.
Mrs Babita Singh came first in ladies putting competition and Master Pranshu Gupta won the prize for longest drive for children.
Col Rajeev Dalela presented a Red Shield Eagles Golf Trophy to RSEPTA for hosting of annual tournaments in the future.
On the occasion, Maj Gen Binoy Poonnen, VSM, GOC 57 Mountain Division extended his complements for the excellent conduct of the event and also for the role of the Corps of EME in providing engineering support to the Indian Armed Forces and wished the Corps all the very best in all future endeavours.
