Imphal, March 05 2009:: Dispute over a match official not allowing goal to PYC, Phoudel led to abandonment of the second leg 3rd Manipur state League football tournament against NEROCA, Shangakpham at ESU ground, Wangkhei today.

The match venue as home turf of the Shangakpham side saw L Nabachandra score in the 18th minute which PYC neutralised through L Bikram in the 24th.After Nabachandra's second in the match at the hour mark restored the advantage a powerful shot eight minutes later from L Premananda from the top of the NEROCA box thudded to the ground after hitting the bar before defender Surjit cleared the threat.

With PYC players insisting the ball had crossed the goalline which the match official negated the match ended prematurely as the visitors refused to continue play.

PYC players also assaulted an official at the dressing room.
