AFTER WINNING the first semi final match today, the Youth Progressive Organisation (YPO) Sora has entered final in the ongoing 10th Sena Cup 2009, organised by Sena Athletic Organisation (SAO) Kakching at Kakching Khunjampat ground.
The tournament was commenced from January 18 last with nine different teams participating in three groups.
The first semi final match played today between YPO, Sora and Social Welfare Club (SWC), Waikhong, YPO beat SWC 3-2 and enter final.
It may recalled that YPO entered semi final as group winner of group A.They played the match with full coordination among them from the beginning.
YPO played the first half of the match dominantly.
They tried to make scores against SWC in various moments.
SWC players found it hard to face the attacks of YPO.
The first goal of the match was scored in the 9th minute of the match by Md Anjamal Ali of YPO.
After that he again two goals for his team against SWC in the 23rd and 46th minute of the match and won a hat trick.
SWC players began to lose their hopes.
Their hearts began to sink with three goals against them and they unable to score a single goal against YPO.
Although YPO dominated the first half, they could not keep their attacks against SWC in the second half.
SWC players played the second half with renewed hopes and stamina.
They began to dominate the YPO players from the very beginning of the second half.
As the match progress, SWC players� hard efforts did not went in vain.
As their first goal against YPO was scored by Bhumeshwor in the 52nd minute, players of SWC began to cheer up.
New hopes began to bud out from their sunken heart.
Ratan also scored one goal against YPO in the 68th minute.
But they could not scored any further goal against YPO and had to lose the match.
The second semi final match will be played between SESU, Kakcing Sumak and YWC, Kakching Wairi tomorrow.
