Manipur would vie for all the top title on offer in the 52nd National School Games as the host stormed into the finals of under-19 girls football and boys/girls under-17 handball competition.
In the girls football final tomorrow manipur will take on Orissa at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium at 2.30 pm after the home side thrashed Goa 6-0 and Orissa pipped Haryana 4-3 via the sudden death.
N Binodini's brace within four minutes of play in the first semi final set up the dominant performance by the hosts before Lalvarmoi Hmar sustained the momentum with three goals to extend the lead to 5-0 and N Chanchan sealed the Goan's fate with a 60th min goal.
The second semi final between Orissa and Haryana remained goalless at the end of regulation period thereby taking the match into the tie-breaker and then to the sudden death shoot-out during which composure of the former side triumphed over their rivals.
In handball semi finals in the boys' category, manipur overpowered Uttar Pradesh 21-13 and will clash against Delhi, 30-25 winner against Maharashtra.
The girls' semi final saw the State eves defeat Punjab 18-7 as Assam overcame Delhi 20-13.
