Jiribam, March 07:
The 'Friendship Football Tournament' organised by 121 Bn CRPF based at Jiribam will be held from March 9 till 14 at the Jiribam Higher Secondary School ground.
According to Second in-command of the battalion Mathew A John the tournament is being organised under the objective of 'fight for peace and to strengthen our friendship' so as to bridge the gap between security forces and the public.
He also informed that no entry fee would be necessary for competing in the tournament as every related expenditure will be borne by the unit.
The champion team would be awarded Rs 5000 while Rs 3000 is on the offer for the runners-up side.
