Imphal, October 29 2012: A three-day long public information campaign on flagship programmes of the Central Government would be held at Mini Secretariat Multi Purpose Hall, Ukhrul from November 1 .

The main highlights of the campaign are to spread awareness among the public on flagship programmes like NRHM, SSA, NREGS, rural road, rural drinking water supply, rural housing (IAY), rural telephony, total sanitation campaign, ICDS, RTI, pension scheme and forest development, etc, informed a PIB release.

A free medical camp will also be held on Nov 2 as a part of the campaign.

The campaign is being jointly organised by PIB, AIR, DDK, DAVP, DFP, S&DD in collaboration with different departments of Government of Manipur and Government of India, Clubs, NGOs and Churches of Ukhrul district under the sponsorship of Ministry of I&B, Govt of India.
