Imphal, February 22 2009: Troops of 31 Assam Rifles located at Permanent Vehicle Check Post at Khudengthabi seized 5 gms of heroine while checking a Tata Sumo (MN01K 4432) from the possession of one Md Zakir Hussain (21) s/o (L) Allauddin of Lilong.

On interrogation, the individual revealed that he is involved in smuggling of narcotics.

He alongwith seized item were handed over to Customs Office, Moreh yesterday, said a press release of PRO Hqs IGAR(S).
