Imphal, February 28 2009: Taking serious note of the transfer of five top administrative officers from Chandel district, the Kuki Chiefs' Association (KCA) Chandel and KSO Chandel have urged upon the State Government to stay the transfer of DC N Ashok Kumar or send another competent IAS officer other than Devas who was suspended due to corrupt practices in Tamenglong district.

In a memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister, the two bodies also sought stay order for SDC/DDO Hringkham Khumlo.

Another demand of the KCA and KSO is continued posting of ADC Moreh Lunminthang Haokip as DPO Chandel district.
