Imphal, August 28:
22 Maratha Light Infantry located at Tulihal Airport, Imphal celebrated Shri Krishna Janmashtami with traditional gaiety and religious fervor yesterday.
Puja was offered to Lord Krishma in the Unit mandir and a 'Dahi Handi' competition which is a unique and traditional way of celebrating Janmashtami in Maharashtra was also organised.
Aearthen pot filled with milk and curd was hung at the height of 30 feet.
The teams, enacting as 'cohorts' of Lord Krishna, were required to break the pot by making a human pyramid.
