Imphal, September 27 2010: Troops of 37 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under the aegis of HQ IGAR(South) presented water storage tanks to villagers of Tupiching and Joumol village, which are one of the remotest villages in Chandel Dist on the Indo-Myanmar border.

Commandant 37 Assam Rifles was the chief guest and he presented both the villages with 1000ltr water storage tanks, volleyball Nets and volleyball at a function which was held at Hollengjang village.

As part of the event the villagers preformed various cultural activities.

The event concluded with distribution of sweets and gifts to the villagers, informed PRO, HQ IG AR (S) in a press release today.
