Imphal, October 11 2009: The Zeliangrong Students' Union, Barak valley has flayed the 1447 Bridge Construction Company of BRO for taking its job for granted by not repairing the weak bailey bridges existing on NH-53, reports our Jiribam correspondent.

The union stated that there are atleast 14 weak bailey bridges between Jiri and Barak.

Apart from the two suspension bridges of Makru and Barak, most of the bailey bridges are on the verge of collapse due to the apathy of the said company of BRO.

The company must work on war footing to avoid any mishap, they added.
