Imphal, March 07 2009: The three-day long 7th annual meet of the Network of Women in Media hosted by the Manipur chapter of the Network here since March 5 concluded today.

On the last day of the annual meet today, discussion session on the topic of 'Overview of the conflict situation in Manipur' was held with Babloo Loitongbam of Human Rights Alert, Grace Shatsang of Naga Women's Union, Manipur and Dr S Chongloi of Kuki Movement for Human Rights as resource persons.

Afterward, the women journalists who have come from different parts to participated in the annual met went to the Porompat PDA complex and took part in the hunger relay strike being organised in support of the demand for repealing Armed Forces Special Powers Act and save he life of Sharmila.

Around 70 women journalists who have come from different parts of the country to participated in the annual meet of the NWMI would be leaving Imphal tomorrow.
