Imphal, April 09 2011: The 10th Thokchom Iboyaima Shumang Leela Award carrying a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and shawl would be conferred to L Jugeshwor Singh of Awang Potsangbam.

Making the announcement at a media briefing held today at the Palace Compound office of Manipur State Shumang Leela Council, its secretary S Hemanta said the award would be conferred on the occasion of the 10th Shumang Leela Day on April 12 to honour Jugeshwor's role as a principal in the stage play 'Rickshaw Kanano' .

The award, donated by Iboyaima's wife Sanatombi, would be formally conferred to Jugeshwor by the Ambassador of Cuba in India Miguel Angel Ramirez Ramos.
