Imphal, November 12 2009: A team of Imphal District Commandos arrested one UKLF (MC) cadre identified as Poujamon Vaiphei (27) s/o Tinthing Vaiphei of Dewlaland, Senapati district, PS Yairipok from New Checkon at around 6.30 am yesterday, according to a statement issued by SP of Imphal East District.

The SP informed that on verification, the arrested UKLF (MC) cadre disclosed that he joined the outfit through one Roshant in 2009 .

The SP further informed that the arrested UKLF (MC) cadre has also disclosed that he had handed over one 9 mm pistol with seven rounds of 9 mm ammunition to one Ngamkholan Haokip s/o Seikai Haokip of Saikul, who is serving as police constable and now posted at Commando Unit, Imphal West.

Before joining Police Department, Ngamkholan was an active member of KNA.
