Imphal, August 12 2009: 57 Mountain Division GOC Maj Gen Shakti Gurung today inaugurated a playground at Makhen village, 10 km north to Leimakhong Army garrison.

The General Officer in his speech in the inauguration function stressed on developmental activities in the area through promotion of sports, culture and social interaction.

He dedicated the playground, constructed by 18 Engineer Regiment to 'the spirit of development'.

Being a hilly area, the earth moving equipment of 18 Engineer Regiment had to work relentlessly with much difficulty, said a press release of PRO PIB (DW).
