Imphal, March 07 2009: The Meetei Erol Eyek Loinasillol Apunba Lup (MEELAL) has appealed all candidates in the ensuing Lok Sabha election to use the indigenous script of Manipur, Meetei Mayek, while printing election related posters, festoons, banners, pamphlets, etc so as to promote the script, according to a press release issued by its publicity secretary, KC Khuman.

It also said that candidates not using the script will be viewed as rebuffing the promotion of the script and will not be supported by MEELAL workers.
