Imphal, March 06 2009: The Joint Action Committee against the kidnapping of Md Liaquat Ali, AE IFCD Department decried the kidnapping of AE, IFCD Md Liaquat of Haoreibi Mayai Leikai by some unidentified gunmen on March 3 without any trace till today.

The JAC in a statement said that there wasn't any issue of extortion from any organization against him, he is leading a very simple and dedicated life working for the welfare of the backward and minority community.

The JAC also appealed to the perpetrators to forgive him if he had committed any wrongdoing for the sake of humanity and considering his past good deeds and appealed for his safe release.

The JAC also expressed regret over the IFCD department for remaining dormant despite an official of the department being kidnapped and is without any trace till date.
