Imphal, March 05 2009:: The All India Radio (AIR), Imphal bagged the 1st position of Aksahvani Annual Award, 2007 for a radio documentary entitled, 'Eikhoina Soidana Ngamlani' based on the status of AIDS in Manipur, a release of the AIR, Imphal programme executive, M Biramani said.

It said that M Kanankumar Singh, Asst Station director received the trophy from Arun Sharma, Minister of state for I&B in a glittering function held at Lucknow on February 29. M Biramani Singh, Prog Executive, who produced the programme also received the certificate and cash prize of Rs 10, 000.
