Imphal, November 11 2011: The Director General of Doordarshan, Tripurari Sharan will arrive here tomorrow to attend the Bhagyachandra National Festival of Classical Dance.

The Director General will personally oversee the coverage of the festival on Doordarshan.

During his stay in Imphal, Sharan is scheduled to meet Governor Gurbachan Jagat and Chief Secretary DS Poonia for in-depth discussion on how best to project Manipur and make up the information deficit of the State on Doordarshan.

The Director General will also explore the ways and means for greater participation of Manipuri artistes in Doordarshan's National cultural programme.
