Imphal, October 11 2009: An IRB personnel duty as police commando sustained bullet injury at the leg when he himself accidentally fired out his service gun this evening at Singjamei Super Market.

The injured personnel has been identified as Ningombam Robin (24), son of late Khomei of Kongba Laishram Leikai.

He has been treated at RIMS Hospital.

He is a personnel of the 5th IRB attached with the Imphal west police commando unit.

He accidentally fired out his service weapon (AK rifles) when he was on duty at the Singjamei Super Market this evening, report said.
