Imphal, February 24 2009: Dimapur police seized about 100 kilograms of contraband ganja from a Maruti car near Dhansiri bridge at Nagarjan here at around 6.30 pm on Sunday and arrested four persons in this connection.

Police said the arrested have been identified as Lohrii Mao (23) and Kapasa Mao (30), both from Mekhel village of Senapati district, Manipur and Manikho Mao (25) and Mary Mao (35) of Kalinamei village, also under Senapati district of Manipur.

All are presently residing at Mao Gate.

Police also seized the Maruti car (NL-07-5309) in which the contraband was being carried.

The accused have been remanded to police custody for further interrogation, police said.
