Imphal, November 11 2011: A 25 KW Solar power plant installed under Manipur Renewal Energy Development Agency (MANIREDA) at Churachandpur District Hospital was inaugurated by state Power Minister, Phungjathang Tonsing today.

The newly inaugurated Solar power plant will be providing electricity to the main building, casualty, medical ward, new block, blood bank, gynaecology and children wards of the hospital.

Apart from this the power plant will also provide power facility to the deep freezer in the blood bank.

The inaugural function of the power plant was also attended by Health Minister, L Jayentakumar, Works Minister K Ranjit, member secretary of MANIREDA, H Imocha and Jalintha Lazarus, DC, Churachandpur.
