The two-month long training programme on Setting up of Agri-Clinic and Agri-Business Centres by Graduates in Agriculture and Allied Subjects, organised by the Institute of Cooperative Management (ICM) was concluded today at the ICM Complex, Lamphel.
The valedictory function was graced by Principal Secretary (Agriculture), O Nabakishore, IAS, Officer In-charge of the NABARD Regional Office, Imphal, AB Das and Chairman of the ICM, Imphal, Borkeshore as the Chief Guest, President and Guest of Honour respectively.
Delivering his speech as the Chief Guest, O Nabakishore said that the Government department cannot alone implement agriculture works in the state, and as such, programmes like setting up of agri-clinic and agri-business should be initiated by students trained in the field by taking loan and grants from the government.
