Imphal, June 15 2009: Troops of 21 Assam Rifles apprehended six cadres belonging to KYKL and PREPAK in an operation launched in the general area of Hiyanglam Hiranmai today morning 7.30 am according to a statement the PRO of HQ IGAR (South).

The UGs were identified as KYKL cadres Romen (29) a resident of Kakching Irum Mapal, M Katia (28) of Hiyanglam Awang Leikai and PREPAK cadres Shyam Kumar alias Guni (34) of Tera Pishak, Rishikanta alias Shanta (19) of Tera Pishak, Dinesh alias Ibungo (29) of Thoubal Thongam Leikai and Somorjit alias Bocha (31) of Hiyanglam Awang Leikai.

One 9mm pistol magazine, one 9mm ammunition and 13 live AK rounds were recovered from them have been handed over to Kakching Police station, the statement added.

In another incident, the troops of 28 AR of 9 sector has seized 550 litres of liquor from a Maruti Van during a mobile vehicle check post at Andro Bazaar today 7 am and handed it over to AMADA.
