AR assists bus mishap victims

Imphal, March 07 2011: Troops of 8 AR of 26 Sector under the aegis of HQ IGAR (S) immediately carried out emergency relief and rescue operation work for victims in a bus accident near Sugnu on March 6 .

A large number of men and women were severely injured in the accident.

Commandant, Regimental Medical Officer and troops of AR started the immediate rescue operation.

The medical officer alongwith his team, at once started the medical examination of casualties and provided relief to them.

Approximately 30 casualties were provided first aid.

Victims with severe fractures were provided with splints, dressing, pain relievers, tablets and injections.

More serious cases were evacuated to Kakching Civil Hospital.
