Imphal, March 30 2009: A series of sit-in-protests to be continued for several days against the erratic power supply at Leimakhong Bazar was launched by womenfolk of the locality today.

The agitators under the aegis of Women Welfare Association, Leimakhong Bazar closed the gates of Electricity Department today.

According to a press release of the association, other forms of agitation will be initiated if the Department fails to fulfil its demands of supplying uninterrupted power supply at the area.
