Imphal, January 28 2009: THE DISTRICT Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Imphal has charged the owner of Sanabam Light House, Khoyathong Road a penalty of Rs 5118.78 to be paid to a customer, Lourembam Inaocha of Khongman zone II including a compensation and litigation fee within 30 days of the order on December 18, 2008 last.

A press statement of Consumer Club Manipur (CCM) said that the case was referred to the forum by the secretary general of CCM, Ch Nabachandra representing the customer who was extra charged with Rs 118.78 by Sanabam Light House when he bought some original parts of Honda Activa from the shop on October 8 and 9, 2008 last.
