AMWJU demands to book culprits

Imphal, December 09 2011:
The All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) in a emergency meeting held tody condemned the beating up and injuring of Laishram Keshonanda, a sub editor of Poknapham daily by six unidentified persons in the evening of December 8 at Babupara area.
Terming the assault as a threat to the whole media community, AMWJU demanded the government to find the persons and book them within 48 hours.
If the police failed to arrest the persons involved within the given deadline, AMWJU will launch further agitations against the threat against media persons, stated a press release of AMWJU signed by its secretary Surjeswar today.
