Referring to the incident of destroying of school properties after breaking the door lock of the Government Primary School, Tera Sapam Leirak today, the secretary general in charge of Manipur Students'Federation (MSF) H Chandradhon warned the miscreants to submit to MSF within five days while speaking the pressmen on the spot.
Such antisocial act is hindering quality education in the state.
If anyone in the locality wants to borrow any of the school property, they should take prior permission from the school authority, he said.
Pradhan of Tera Sapam Gram Panchayat, M Kiranbala, Upa Pradhan, Ng Irabot and Head Mistress of the school, Naorem Nungshi also took part at the press conference.
Head mistress, N Nungshi said that the unidentified miscreants came and destroyed the bench and desks of the school while they did harm the cupboards or damage the documents in the staff room.
She appealed to related authorities to properly construct the walls of the school and repair the infrastructure and to employ a peon to look after the school.
Mention could be made that the current infrastructure of the school which was recently upgraded to have classes up to standard V looked more of a cowherd rather than a school.
The door, windows and walls of the schools are at worst condition.
