Imphal, April 26 2009:
IN FIRST of its kind, a Grant-in-Aid North East Region (GIAC-NER) scheme has been launched with an objective to promote and develop the languages of the North East states under the Central Institute of Indian Language (CIIL), Mysore.
Application is being invited for publication grant, bulk purchase, and little journal in Manipuri as well as other minority languages of the state for non-creative publications in a prescribe form.
The duly filled in forms may be submitted along with three copies each of the publication or manuscripts at the Tribal Research Institute by 1pm of April 29.For the Manipuri language, applicant may enquire at the Department of Linguistics, MU.
