COTA-govt talks underway

Imphal, November 11 2011: A delegation of Council of Teachers' Association (COTA) held talk with Education Minister DD Thaisii at the latter's office chamber today.

During the talk, the COTA delegation made it clear that ongoing cease work would not be lifted until the government takes up the issue related to rectification of the order issued earlier in connection with fixing the pay structure of the teachers from primary to higher secondary level, Convenor Publicity of COTA S Gunamani informed in a statement.

To discuss the new development ahead of the holding the second round of meeting, COTA has also convened an emergency general body meeting on November 14 at TG Higher Secondary School.
