Imphal, February 28 2009: A house belonging to one Potsangbam Achou of Kalinagar, Jiribam was partially burnt after it was struck by lightning today.

Although properties worth Rs 60,000 were destroyed by the fire, the house was saved from total destruction by the timely arrival of fire tenders, reports our Jiribam correspondent.
