Imphal, February 24 2009: The prohibitory orders promulgated u/s 144 (2) CrPC since February 19 prohibiting moving out of any person from their respective residences in the Imphal East and West District have been relaxed from 6 am to 6 pm tomorrow to enable public transact their normal essential business until further orders.

The District Magistrates of Imphal East and Imphal West have issued orders in this connection today.

The orders, however, added that the restriction imposed on assembly of 5 or more persons and carrying of firearms and lethal weapons shall remain in force.
