Imphal, December 22 2008: The proscribed UNLF has refuted the claim of Assam Rifles that two UNLF cadres were apprehended while checking a vehicle at Bongyang check post on December 20 .

A press release issued by the outfit's senior publicity officer Ksh Yoiheiba alleged that the statement of AR PRO was fabricated and baseless.

There is no one by the name of Sgt Maj Laishakam Pathoi (31) or S/S Cpl Akoijam Ibomcha (28) in the rank and file of UNLF/MPA, clarified Yoiheiba.
